I'm back to work on a novel potentially called "Sweetwater" about a young woman who recently lost her parents and reaches for the comfort of her grandparents' rural Southern world only to be swept up in a mysterious death that occurred in the community sixty years before. On a personal level, I'm enjoying exploring Northern California but also looking back at my Southern culture and history with a fresh eye. In a few years we'll move back to the South with a greater appreciation.
